Stop & Shop – which has a store just about 200 feet away in the Boulder Run shopping center -- has long opposed the planned 62,000 square-foot ShopRite.

Stop & Shop has 20 days to appeal the ruling, but an attorney representing ShopRite “is hopeful that the decision will clear the way for construction of the ShopRite to begin,” according to the article.

Demolition to clear the site began back in December. ShopRite officials said then that they hoped to open the store by November 2017.
