Wyckoff Businessman Leaves Mercedes For Atlanta Falcons

WYCKOFF, N.J. -- Stephen Cannon, a Wyckoff native and president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz USA, will leave the company after four years on the job.

The automaker has appointed Dietmar Exler, current sales boss of MBUSA, as his successor.

Cannon won’t be far from the Mercedes-Benz U.S. headquarters when he moves on to lead AMB Group, the company that owns the Atlanta Falcons.

According to AMB Group, Cannon will be in charge of all business operations for the football team as well as the Atlanta United FC of Major League Soccer and the Atlanta Falcons Stadium Company.

The Atlanta Falcons Stadium Company is developing the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which is scheduled to open in 2017.
