Hartwig will discuss "Food Freedom Forever: Letting Go of Bad Habits, Guilt and Anxiety Around Food," which comes out that day. She'll also be available to sign books.

Hartwig defines true "food freedom" as being in control of the food you eat, instead of food controlling you. Resets like the Whole30 can jump-start the process, but as anyone who has dieted knows, holding onto that freedom and creating healthy habits that last is the hard part.

In her detailed three-part plan, Hartwig helps people discover food freedom, even if they feel out of control; have a self-directed path; recover when they slip back into bad habits; and create food freedom that sticks with them.

The session begins at 7 p.m. The Barnes & Noble is located at 765 Route 17 South, in Paramus.
