Montvale Mayor Mike Ghassali announced that no overnight camping anywhere in the borough will be tolerated before the 7 a.m. opening on Sept. 24.

The big day is already looking chaotic, as Ghassali said there will be 14 police officers on traffic detail on Sunday morning, to minimize traffic jams.

"It is expected that Sunday the 24th will be the busiest day and then traffic will normalize two to three days after that, with full normalcy taking affect in about two weeks," he said.

There will be 750 overflow parking spots on the Mercedes property for the entire week.

"If you are visiting, please follow the traffic pattern and everyone will enjoy the shopping and getting back home safe," the mayor said.
