Valley Hospital Heads To The Farm For Annual 'Pink Day'

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Who says pink isn't a fall color? For the second consecutive year, Abma’s Farm in Wyckoff will celebrate 'Pink Day' on Saturday, Oct. 1. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the farm will donate a portion of the day's hay rides and pumpkin picking proceeds towards the Valley Hospital’s Breast Center Fund.

Abma’s Farm, a Wyckoff staple for over 85 years, extends across 32-acres and raises a variety of fruits and vegetables, as well as chickens and eggs. Billed as “Bergen County’s only produce and poultry farm” Abma Farms and the Abma family follows a tradition of hard work, honest values, and selfless service.

Last October, farm owners Judy and Pamela Abma donated $1000 to The Valley Hospital Foundation. “The Valley Hospital is the perfect place to designate these funds,” said Pamela Abma. “Breast cancer is so prevalent, and we wanted to keep this ‘local’ just like our approach to farming, so this donation to our local hospital’s breast center makes the most sense.”

The farm's 'Pink Day' will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
