Wyckoff Honors Fallen Soldiers With Gold Stars On Street Signs

WYCKOFF, N.J. -- With Memorial Day approaching, the Township of Wyckoff is reminding residents of the steps it's taken to honor fallen servicemen on an ongoing basis, through street signs.

The township "has named streets after residents who have paid the ultimate sacrifice and died fighting for the freedoms we enjoy," officials noted.

These street signs have a gold star to signify this designation, and the signs also have red, white and blue markers, which list the soldiers' full names and the wars in which they perished.

Mothers of these soldiers are recognized as "Gold Star Mothers" at Wyckoff Memorial Day ceremonies. Click on the attachment for a full list of these servicemen and the street names which honor them. These names are also listed on a monument in the green of the Wyckoff Reformed Church.
