Shiano, who grew up in Wyckoff, turns 52 Thursday.
Born June 1, 1966, he is the defensive coordinator and associate head coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team.
Schiano began his coaching career in 1988 as an assistant coach at Ramapo High School. In 1989, he served as a graduate assistant at Rutgers, then took the same position in 1990 at Penn State. Later, he served as the defensive backfield coach at Penn State from 1991-95.
From 1996-98, Schiano was an assistant coach with the Chicago Bears.
He served as the head football coach at Rutgers University from 2001-11 and as head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2012-13.
