Oakland Priest Celebrates 20 Years

OAKLAND, N.J. — The rector of St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Oakland celebrated the 20th anniversary of her ordination in December.

The Rev. Kathryn King first became ordained as a priest in December 1995.

King joined the Oakland church in October 2009 and was officially installed as rector in April 2010 by Bishop Mark Beckwith.

King succeeded the Rev. Dr. Prince Singh as St. Alban's rector, following an interim service by the Rev. J. Cooper Conway.

The Oakland congregation celebrated King's milestone with a gathering and cake this month.
