Wyckoff artist Mark Sabino will be featured in a pop-up exhibit in Hawthorne on Thursday, June 2.
The show features Sabino’s latest collection of contemporary pieces intersecting the worlds of fine art and fashion.
His work is inspired by a variety of cultural influences and movements in art and design, urban street wear and haute couture.
Sabino’s work has drawn interest from international and domestic collectors.
Included in this exhibit will be Sabino’s signature spring/summer 16 hand-painted apparel line, as well as select paintings on canvas.
“I am very excited to be able to share my work and vision with the community that has helped me foster and develop my passion for art and fashion, “says Sabino.
The show, running from 7-9 p.m., encourages visitors to explore the interconnectedness of fine art and contemporary fashion.
“What we wear and the art we love connotes something about who we are. My pieces are concrete expressions of my life experiences. I hope they inspire others to express themselves through beautiful work," he said.
Sabino is a student at Pratt Institute.
The exhibit takes place at Hawthorne Fire Co. 3, 83 North 8th St.
