Wyckoff Y's 'Buddy Walk' Raises Money For Down Syndrome Society

WYCKOFF, N.J. -- The Wyckoff YMCA held the 11th annual Bergen Buddy Walk to raise money for neighbors and family members challenged by Down syndrome and special needs on Oct. 3.

Local businesses donated breakfast treats, coffee, pizza, burritos, sandwiches, water, and much more to support the day and feed hungry walkers in the rain.

The Bergen Buddy Walk benefits the National Down Syndrome Society, Down Syndrome Research Foundation, the Special Olympics, and special needs programs at the Wyckoff YMCA including Billy’s Buddies, Shining Star Express, 21 Plus, and others.

A portion of the proceeds also directly supports local families affected by Down syndrome who need financial assistance.
