NJ Transit announced it will cancel bus service after 4:30 p.m. due to snow accumulation in Wednesday's storm.

It will be cross-honoring rail, bus, private carriers and light rail service.

The storm will be most potent during the afternoon hours Wednesday.

The brunt of the snow will be falling between 1 and 6 p.m. Winds of 20 to 30 mph will gust to 50 mph along the coast at that time, possibly causing power outages.

Snow will end at around midnight with most of the tristate area expected to see more than a foot of accumulation.
