Franklin Lakes Recycling Options Expanded To Clothing

FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. -- The Borough of Franklin Lakes is now offering textile recycling at the Department of Public works recycling center.

Residents can place old clothes, shoes, sheets, towels in any condition from nearly new to old and damaged in the bins. 

The Borough will receive payment, currently $100 per ton from Planet Aid for the textiles, potentially generating annual revenues of $20,000. 

Planet Aid will provide receipts for the clothing you place in the bins. Click here to download a receipt.
