Gov. Christie Sets Five-Day Limit On Painkiller Prescriptions

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie signed a bill into law setting a five-day limit on initial prescription pain-killers mandating insurances companies accept addicts into treatment immediately, NJ.com reports.

The law is the toughest in the U.S. when it comes to the fight against opioid and heroin addiction, which killed 1,600 people in New Jersey in 2015, according to NJ.com.
