OAKLAND, N.J. -- Park and ride price increases are prompting one Oakland official to propose moving the borough's only bus stop, according to NorthJersey.com.
Councilman Pasquale "Pat" Pignatelli is proposing the town move the bus stop to the end of Oak St, NorthJersey.com reported.
For more than a decade, commuters would use the allocated spots at the Coppertree Mall. As demand for spots has increased, other local business owners are complaining that commuters are leaving vehicles in spots outside the designated area. As a result, mall management announced it would begin charging $180 annually for residents to park there, NorthJersey.com said.
