Brian D. Pruiksma, 68, Wyckoff Resident

WYCKOFF, N.J. — Wyckoff resident Brian D. Pruiksma died Tuesday, May 31. He was 68.

Born in Paterson, Pruiksma lived in Midland Park and Prospect Park before moving to Wyckoff 40 years ago. 

He was a salesman for Arcola Bus and Services, a handicapped accessibility company in Carlstadt before his retirement. 

He was a member of the Faith Community Christian Reformed Church in Wyckoff. 

Pruiksma is survived by his wife of 44 years, Trudie (Heerschap); his son, Marc and his wife Christy; his daughter, Sheryl and her husband Glenn Runz; his daughter, Melissa and her husband Brian Visbeen; grandchildren, Olivia, Bryson and Kaylie; brother, Bernie and his wife Carole; and sister, Kathi and her husband Ed Vander Bush. 

Pruiksma was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law Stephen and Diane Pruiksma. 

The Pruiksma family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. 

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Faith Community Christian Reformed Church, 530 Sicomac Ave., Wyckoff.
