Caroline B. Manderino, 91, Former Franklin Lakes Resident

FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. -- Caroline B. Manderino -- a Franklin Lakes resident before she moved to Florida -- died on Tuesday, Dec. 13. She was 91.

Born in Weehawken, Manderino attended the Traphagen School of Design in New York City. She and her husband owned General Auto Supply Co. and Midland Realty Co. in Garfield.

She was also the first president of the Urban Farms Garden Club in Franklin Lakes, and she continued her involvement in many civic and religious volunteer organizations in New Jersey, Boca Raton and Clermont, Florida.

Manderino is survived by her children, Lisa Sheridan and Louis Manderino; grandson Richard Quinlan III; and siblings Dolores Sarta and her husband Dick, and brother and Joseph Puzino and his wife Fran.

She was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore Manderino, and her brother, Leonard Bassi.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28, at C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home, in Ridgewood. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home, followed by entombment at Madonna Cemetery in Fort Lee.
