WYCKOFF, N.J. – Dino Leonidas Tsapatsaris, of Wyckoff, died Tuesday, Jan. 26. He was 47.
Born in Livingston, he spent his formative years in Athens, Greece.
He later attended Stevens Institute of Technology, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering. His career led him to the cutting edge of industrial ceramic applications for non-corrosive conduits, and he attained several patents in the field. He was the owner of Ceresist Inc. in Paterson, an international manufacturer. He also was a member of the board of directors of the Bunker Hill SID.
A resident of Wyckoff since 2000, he was a parishioner of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Wyckoff and a board member of the Torpedoes Soccer Club.
He was the husband of Jennifer (Harris) Tsapatsaris of Wyckoff; father of Leonidas, Evangelos, Anna Melina and Alexandros; son of Leonidas and Anna (Apostolakos) Tsapatsaris; and brother of Nicholas Tsapatsaris and his wife, Stacey, and their daughters of Ridgewood.
The family will receive family and friends from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Kimisis Church in Karea, Lakonia, Greece.
