He was born in New Brunswick and moved to Oakland 20 years ago.
Ramirez graduated from Indian Hills High School in 2009, where he played varsity ice hockey for four years.
He worked as a machine operator at Perfect Finishing Inc. Clifton.
Ramirez is survived by his parents, James and Anne Ramirez of Oakland; his sisters, Jordan Ramirez, Jessica Ramirez and her fiancé Ryan Stierl; his maternal grandparents, Emma, Joe and Hiram; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., on Saturday, April 8, at St. Mary's RC Church, 17 Pompton Ave., Pompton Lakes, followed by a private cremation.
