WYCKOFF, N.J. -- Harold T. Batten, 92, of Wyckoff, died on Dec. 14.
Batten was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. serving during WWII and participated in the Battle of Iwo Jima. He attended St. Bernard’s Prep School, Gladstone, New Jersey, graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and later graduated from Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
Prior to retiring from his position as Vice President at PNC Bank, Batten volunteered his time as Treasurer for New Jersey Camp for Blind Children for almost 30 years, a member on the Board of Directors of the Wyckoff YMCA, and Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Clifton Kiwanis Club.
Batten is survived by his wife of 66 years, Emily; his son Thomas and his wife Barbara; grand children to Daniel Batten, Kelly Liberati and her husband Giancarlo, and great granddaughter Sophia.
Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson.
