Jeffrey Griffith Murren, 67, Of Wyckoff

WYCKOFF, N.J. – Jeffrey Griffith Murren, a resident of Wyckoff, died Friday, July 22. He was 67.

He worked as a recruiting counselor for two years at Bethany Colley before launching into a teaching career spanning four decades and guiding thousands of students. At Fort Lee School District, he taught physical education and health for 40 years, retiring in 2013.

He is survived by his wife Kathryn A. Murren; daughter Kylin A. Murren; son Ryan J. Murren; mother Shirley Murren; brother Dwight D. Murren; sister Jo Ann S. Johnson; two nephews Kevin and Kyle and a niece Kaitlyn.

The receiving of friends will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Wyckoff Reformed Church, 580 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff.
