John H. 'Jack' Riley, 89, Of Wyckoff

WYCKOFF, N.J. -- John H. “Jack” Riley, of Wyckoff, died Nov. 15. He was 89. 

Born in Paterson, he was a longtime resident of Wyckoff. 

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. His career in education was spent at Fair Lawn High School and Indian Hills High School, the latter as principal. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his sons, John, Robert and Richard and their wives, Joyce, Sherry and Kim; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. The funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church, 555 Russell Ave., Wyckoff. Interment will follow in Laurel Grove Memorial Park in Totowa. 

Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church.
