OAKLAND, N.J. — Dr. John W. Greenfield, of Oakland, died Aug., 9. He was 75.
He was born Sept. 4, 1940 in Hackensack.
He was very passionate about the game of golf and the New York Giants. He was an avid skier with his family. He was a longtime member of the Hackensack Golf Club. He also was a member and treasurer of the Kennel Club of Northern New Jersey.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda; children, John and Kendra; grandchildren, Emma, Ian and Sam; sister, Nancy Rose of Stamford; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday p.m. at the Oakland Memorial Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
