Margaret Franolich, 85, Wyckoff Resident

WYCKOFF, N.J. -- Margaret Franolich, of Wyckoff, died on Friday, Jan. 13. She was 85.

Born in Krk, Croatia, Franolich lived in New York City before settling in Wyckoff more than 40 years ago. She was a hairstylist, and a parishioner of the Church of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, in Wyckoff, and previously of St. Francis of Assisi Church, in Astoria, Queens.

She is survived by her sons, John and his wife Marie of Langhorne, Pennsylvania, Joseph and his wife Veronica of Butler, Michael and his wife Ellen of Moorestown, and Richard of Oakland, and her grandchildren, Grace, Michael and Michaela.

Franolich was preceded by her husband of 56 years, Michael.

A funeral mass was held on Wednesday morning, Jan. 18, at the Church of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, in Wyckoff. Interment was in Christ the King Cemetery, in Franklin Lakes. Vander Plaat Funeral Home, in Wyckoff, assisted with arrangements.
