WYCKOFF, N.J. -- Mary Malone, of Wyckoff, died Saturday, Aug 6. She was 77.
She was born in New York City and lived in Floral Park and Merrick, N.Y. before moving to Wyckoff 43 years ago.
After graduating from St. John’s University in 1961, she began a career as an elementary school teacher in Massapequa, N.Y. She had passionate interests in Irish history, genealogy and current events.
She is survived by her husband, Edward of Wyckoff; son, Edward and his wife, Kristine Entner of Oak Park, Ill.; granddaughters, Hannah Entner and Marlena Entner; and sister Anne (Nancy) Crimmins of Punta Gorda, Fla.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. A Mass will be celebrated at 9:45 a.m. Thursday at Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, 787 Franklin Lakes Road, Franklin Lakes. Interment to follow at Cemetery of the Holy Rood, 111 Old Country Road, Westbury, N.Y.
