Mona A. Krantos, 98, Of Wyckoff

WYCKOFF, N.J. – Mona A. Krantos, a resident of Wyckoff, died Saturday, April 23. She was 98.

She was born and raised in Englewood, and also was a longtime resident of Hackensack, before moving to Wyckoff in 2007.

She worked as a clerk in the audit and credit departments of Sears, Roebuck and Co. in Hackensack for 25 years before her retirement in 1983.

She is survived by her son Paul L. and his wife Dorothy Surdez; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband George Krantos; her son Eugene Surdez; and brothers Carl and Robert.

The Krantos and Surdez families will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Christian Health Care Center Employee Fund, 301 Sicomac Ave., Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
