New York Post Mourns Its Beloved Cliffside Park Electrician

CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. — Ronald "Ace" Acevedo of Cliffside Park died Thursday. He was 58 years old.

Acevedo worked as an electrician at the New York Post for 20 years. He started at the paper's Manhattan headquarters before spending the last 17 years at its Bronx printing facility.

The publication wrote a special obituary for Acevedo on Tuesday.

He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 3 for 36 years.

Acevedo previously held positions at NBC and The New York Times.

A first memorial service is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Grace & Peace Church, 348 White Plains Road in The Bronx.

Another prayer service is set for Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., at Grace & Peace, before internment at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 101 Mill St. in Putnam Valley.

Acevedo is survived by his wife, Becky; and daughters, Amanda and Rachel.
