OAKLAND, N.J. -- Paul J. Grauer, 74, of Oakland, died Tuesday, Sept. 20.
He was born and raised in Teaneck. He then served his country in the U.S. Army for two years in Frankfurt, Germany.
He retired from Verizon after working with them for 35 years. He then worked for several years at Schwerdtle Corporation in Mahwah. He was a voracious reader and avid armchair sportsman.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen; children, Jennifer Sunda and her husband Robert and Dan Grauer and his wife Lisa; grandchildren, Ryan and Matthew Sunda and Alexandra, Taylor and Christian Grauer; and three sisters, Linda Neveu, Jeanne Bernhard and Claire Spinelli.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Oakland Memorial Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland. Cremation will be private.
