Peter K. Bommer, 79, Of Franklin Lakes

FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. -- Peter K. Bommer, Franklin Lakes, died Saturday, Aug. 20. He was 79. 

Born and raised in Batavia, N.Y., he was a resident of Oakland before moving to Franklin Lakes 36 years ago. 

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Before retiring in 2010, Bommer was the president of FIRM Inc. in Mahwah, where he was a commercial insurance broker. 

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Sollace M. Bommer; two sons, Stephen K. Bommer and his wife Jenifer of Franklin Lakes and Daniel L. Bommer and his wife Kathleen of Reston, Va.; daughter, Gretel B. Lynch of Arlington, Va.; 10 grandchildren, Kelly, Kent, Grant, Emily, Curtis, Abigail, Kiera, Molly, Loren and Lindsey; two brothers, Michael Bommer and William Bommer; and a sister, Rachael Kuhe. 

A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church, 55 George St., Allendale.
