Richard D. Christensen, 76, Of Wyckoff

WYCKOFF, N.J. – Richard D. Christensen, a longtime resident of Wyckoff, died Saturday, July 23. He was 76.

He was born in Englewood, N.J., and was a longtime resident of Wyckoff. Before retiring in 1996, he was a business administrator at Aetna Insurance Company in New York. He was a member of the Wyckoff Reformed Church.

He is survived by his wife, Helene E. Christensen; son Richard D. Christensen, Jr., and his wife, Maria; daughter Nancy Spellman; granddaughter Krystal McCormack, and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his son-in-law Joseph Spellman.

Visitation will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26 and Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. until service time at 11:30 a.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Interment to follow the funeral service at George Washington Memorial Park, in Paramus.
