Police arrested 35-year-old Travis Mann of Haskell "with the assistance of Haledon police and several anonymous callers who recognized him from the surveillance photo," Police Chief Michael Foligno told Daily Voice.

Mann remained held in the Bergen County Jail -- charged with armed robbery, among other counts -- pending a bail hearing.

Mann and another man were struck last Feb. 25 by fragments of a bullet fired by an off-duty police officer near a 7-Eleven on Main Street near Market Street in Paterson.

A Passaic County grand jury indicted the officer last fall.

The Elmwood Park Walgreens store manager and cashier told police the robber entered the Broadway store around 11:30 p.m. Friday (Feb. 24), pointed a silver handgun and took an undetermined amount of cash and some merchandise near the register.

Officers checked the area and detectives gathered surveillance video, Foligno said.
