The robber – described as 5-foot-10 and wearing dark clothing and face mask – approached the booth at the Valero station on Ramapo Valley Road just before the 8 p.m. closing time, Lt. Christian Eldridge said.

The attendant said the robber “brandished a handgun and fled with an undisclosed amount cash that he removed from the counter,” then ran west on Doty Road towards West Oakland Avenue.

Officers responded and searched the area with the assistance of a K-9 unit from the Bergen County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Identification collected evidence.
