WYCKOFF, N.J. – Wyckoff police arrested an accused burglar after residents who'd had their home broken into before installed a security camera.

Jaime D. Bauer, 29, who lives in Wyckoff, is seen on surveillance video entering and removing valuables from the Crescent Avenue home, Lt. Joseph Soto said.

“The residents advised [police] that they have had items missing in the past from their home,” Soto said. “Due to the prior thefts, they installed a security camera.”

Bauer -- who was arrested in March by Midland Park police for driving while on the revoked list -- was released pending a detention hearing in Central Municipal Court in Hackensack.

He's charged with burglary and theft.
