The arrest of Oscar Saez at his Godwin Avenue apartment around 12:50 p.m. Monday followed an investigation into neighborhood complaints of drug dealing on the lower part of 12th Avenue, Police Director Jerry Speziale said.

Saez had 18,012 folds of heroins and 1,228 capsules of crack for sale, Speziale said.

Narcotics detectives also seized $573 in alleged drug proceeds for forefeiture proceedings, the director said.

Saez was charged with a variety of drug offenses, Speziale said.

"Collaboration with the community unleashed the power of the many," he said, "to do what no one can do alone."
