Jackie Nam of Leonia swerved her 2007 Honda Odyssey to avoid crashing with an unknown vehicle that she told police came into her lane just after 8:30 a.m., Capt. John Bakelaar said.

Her vehicle then struck a 2005 Dodge Caravan driven by Stacie Geffner-Attiya of Fair Lawn, sending it off the roadway and over a curb, a patch of grass and a boulder, sending it airborne, Bakelaar said.

The Caravan hit two trees, then rolled over, knocking down a New Jersey DOT light pole before coming to rest, the captain said.

The Odyssey also ran off of the roadway and hit the stopped Caravan once again, he said.

All three victim were taken to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson with injuries that Bakelaar said weren't life-threatening.

Geffner-Attiya remained hospitalized with broken ribs, while her son was released, a family friend said Thursday.
