Alex Autieri, 28, who is single and unemployed, was the target of investigators, Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said.

Detectives with the prosecutor’s Narcotic Task Force arrested Autieri in February 2016 after Grewal said they found him with 6½ pounds of marijuana, 1½ pounds of cocaine and various steroids worth a collective $35,000 in his home.

They also seized nearly $14,000 in alleged drug money, cutting agents and packaging materials from the Green Valley Road home, the prosecutor said at the time.

Last Thursday, detectives stopped Autieri, who was with Jonathan Rodriguez, a 27-year-old security guard who also lives in Paramus, Grewal said.

A search of the car turned up the drugs, plastic vials used to package cocaine for sale and $1,219 in alleged drug proceeds, he said.

The estimated street value of the cocaine and marijuana was $13,000, the prosecutor said.

Autieri and Rodriguez were taken to the Bergen County Jail.

A judge released both without bail the next day pending trial, under New Jersey’s 2017 bail reform law.
