Hawthorne Mayor Wins Re-Election

HAWTHORNE, N.J. -- Republican Mayor Richard S. Goldberg was re-elected to lead Hawthorne Tuesday.

The incumbent earned 2,597 votes to beat Naomi B. Collier (1,885 votes) and Philip Speulda (256 votes), according to unofficial results from the Passaic County Clerk's Office.

Republicans also held onto three council seats. Republican Incumbents Dominic Mele, Bruce A. Bennet and John V. Lane bested Democrats Jaquelyn M. Burrows, Cynthia D. Frank and Meaghan Eileen Touhey.

Incumbents Michael J. Doyle, Michael Sciarra and Anthony Puluse beat out Michael Jarvis to be re-elected to the Hawthorne Board of Education.
