WYCKOFF, N.J. — This year the Wyckoff Health Fair will be held with the Wyckoff Education Foundation 5K Run / 1-Mile Family Walk Saturday, Oct. 17, NorthJersey.com reported.

During the run, the story said, residents can visit booths featuring health screenings and information in the Eisenhower Middle School cafeteria from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m After the run and walk, the annual flu clinic will be held from 1 - 3 p.m.

The Wyckoff Education Foundation 5K run will start at 10 a.m.; the fun run/walk at 11 a.m. To register for the run or walk, visit wyckoff.org

According to NorthJersey.com, the NJ League of Municipalities is encouraging mayors to take leadership roles in promoting healthy lifestyles with local events. Wyckoff is participating with the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign because healthy citizens are part of a vibrant community, and the health fair / run conjunction demonstrates that philosophy.

Children must be pre-registered for flu vaccinations; contact the Northwest Bergen Regional Health Commission at (201) 445-7217 to do so. For health information, contact the Board of Health at (201) 891-7000, ext. 350.

Parking will be available at Eisenhower Middle School, 344 Calvin Court, after 1 p.m. but not before.
