Traffic on Route 287 was delayed Wednesday morning, Oct. 25 for a crash involving a tractor trailer and two passenger cars in Morris County. The crash happened on the northbound side in Hanover Township around 8:40 a.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Troy McNair said. Driver Hospitalized In Route 287 Wreck
A driver survived a nasty overnight crash on Route 287, authorities said. Firefighters extricated the motorist, who complained of pains in both legs after his Mazda SUV ran off the road and struck a sign and a tree on the highway's southbound side near mile marker #60 in Franklin Lakes at 1:47 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. A 23-year-old woman was flown to the hospital in a crash on Interstate 78 Sunday, June 25, New Jersey State Police said. An Acura Integra driven by a 23-year-old Manville man ran off the highway to the left and crossed the center median, entering the westbound lanes around 9 a.m. near milepost 22.7, in Clinton Township, NJSP Trooper Charles Marchan said. The Acura was struck by a westbound Hyundai. The 23-year-old Acura driver was seriously injured, as was his passenger, a Middlesex woman, who was flown to the hospital. A tractor-trailer burst into flames on the I-95 approach from the New Jersey Turnpike to the George Washington Bridge, clogging the Tuesday morning rush. The driver got the rig onto the shoulder of the local lanes near mile marker 117, roughly two-tenths of a mile before the Ridgefield Park exit, shortly after 6:30 a.m. May 16. A trailer hauling chicken waste products crashed, spilling its contents all over Route 55 and causing a HazMat situation in Gloucester County on Monday, Feb. 27. The northbound side of the roadway was closed in Deptford from mile marker 59.2 to the Route 42 interchange following the 9 a.m. crash.
