A motor-vehicle crash that initially blocked the left lane caused stop-and-go delays of nearly a half hour early Friday evening on northbound I-87 in Rockland.

The crash, reported just before 6:30 p.m., occurred between Exit 12 (Route 303) in West Nyack and Exit 13 (Palisades Parkway), with the gridlock stretching back to Exit 10 (Route 9W) in Nyack.
