Franklin Lakes Fire Department Rings Alarm On Open House

FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. -- The Franklin Lakes Volunteer Fire Department has scheduled an Open House aimed at attracting new volunteers.

The event, scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, will allow students and adults aged 16 and over to get an up close look at the firehouse and its equipment, according to Facebook post by the department.

The fire department, which has served the community for more than 92 years, has always been volunteer-based, relying on the motto, "neighbors helping neighbors," according to the social media post.
