WYCKOFF, N.J. – Former Major League Baseball star Darryl Strawberry will be in Wyckoff next month.
The slugger -- whose baseball career spanned 17 seasons with the Mets, Yankees and Dodgers -- has had a troubled personal life marked by addictions, abuse and jail time.
And he will talk about it all at the Cornerstone Christian Church on Wyckoff Avenue.
Strawberry will “share personal stories from his long MLB career and how he found true redemption and restoration from his troubles and addictions,” the church’s website states.
Tickets cost $15 and must be purchased prior to Sunday, September 17. The event takes place on Wednesday, September 20, at 7 p.m., and doors open at 6:30.
