KG Divine Wellness & Beauty in North Haledon is owned and operated by Franklin Lakes resident, transplanted Londoner and true-believer Anita Mahi.

Mahi, who moved to the U.S. with her husband about 16 years ago, started out as an “esthetician,” or skin-care specialist, working from home and at spas.

Her own personal spiritual journey, she says, started with angel card readings.

Five years ago, she learned through the readings that she would someday own her own business. It was, she says, the furthest thing from her mind at the time.

Then one day, she was chatting with a client and the woman mentioned that she had a building in North Haledon and space to rent.

Screwing up her courage, Mahi went to take a peek.

“It just felt right,” she said, and, as they say, the rest is history.

With its new-agey offerings such as past life regressions, Reiki healings for emotional or mental woes and lessons on how to connect with angels, the two-year-old center aims to be a one-stop shop for all things spiritual.

In fact, the published author says it was an angel who “guided” her to the location, an unimposing red-brick building on High Mountain Road.

The exterior may not look like much, but once inside, say customers, it’s an oasis of feminine pastels, crystals, soothing scents and soft draperies aglow with twinkling fairy lights.

Meditating Buddhas grace the walls and a kneeling angel serenely guards the front door.

Among the Who’s Who of healers and celebs on the center’s recent roster are Angelo Rusciano, who claims to channel messages from the Blessed Mother Mary, the mother of Jesus; Fran Capo, who bills herself as a motivational speaker, adventurer, comedienne and ordained minister; Anthony Mrocka, an intuitive counselor, life coach and psychic medium; and Sam Tso, a Native American medicine man, activist, carpenter and storyteller whose one-hour healing sessions can go for $150 and up a pop.

But what’s the point of learning the finer points of mediumship, tarot cards and yoga, if you can’t look divine doing it?

The center offers a many-tiered menu of facials, from $55 acne treatments to the $130 light and energy facials, which feel more like a subtle “facelift,” Mahi says.

If mani-pedis are more your speed, you can get your little piggies detoxed for $55, or, if you’re feeling especially adventurous, try the $65 deluxe jelly treatment.

Brows and eyelashes looking a little sparse? Have them tinted.

Thus physically transformed and spiritually fortified, you can now bravely sally forth into the real world … just try to ignore the alluring smell of chakra-clogging pepperoni and molten cheese wafting from the pizza joint across the street.

The center is at 530 High Mountain Road. It can be reached by calling (973)-304-1046, or by emailing keepguessingskincare@gmail.com.
