The league meets every Friday morning September through May at Holiday Bowl on Spruce Street and currently has 21 members.

"It's a nice group of ladies," said Judy Solga, secretary and treasurer. "Everybody gets along and it's fun."

The members come from different towns from North Jersey and of various ages and skill levels.

Solga only started bowling a year ago and raised her average score by 21 points, she said.

League President Cindy Muni has a 300 game under her belt from 2007.

The competition stays friendly as the bowlers take the time to socialize. Seven teams compete and the bowling alley donates trophies to the winners at the end of the league season.

Muni said they would like to add more teams but it can be a challenge to find people who are free Friday mornings.

"We're just looking for some fresh new faces that might want to stay with us for awhile and get to know us," Muni said. "... I love to bowl so I'll do this forever."
