Franklin Lakes Police Crash Underage Drinking Party

FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. -- Nearly 50 underage guests were at a weekend drinking party crashed by Franklin Lakes police, authorities said Monday.

Responding to a report of suspicious activity after midnight Saturday on tiny Mortimer Court -- tucked between Breakneck and Franklin Lake roads -- officers discovered the illegal drinkers, Capt. John Bakelaar said.

They issued summonses to a 19-year-old resident for maintaining a nuisance and underage drinking, he said.
