Oakland PD: Motorist Who Downed Traffic Light Was DWI

OAKLAND, N.J. – An Oakland motorist was under the influence when she slammed her Jeep into a traffic light coming off Route 287 in the middle of the afternoon, authorities said.

Jamie Rinaldi, 41, was being the wheel of the 2009 Liberty when it downed the pole at West Oakland Avenue off Exit 58 of the northbound highway just after 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 12, Capt. Christian Eldridge said Thursday.

She was charged with driving under the influence and released to a responsible adult pending a Municipal Court hearing, he said.
