Daniel Chaupiz, 23, was paroled June 17 after spending 15 months of a six-year sentence in state prison for his role in a baseball-bat bashing of his then-girlfriend’s ex during a robbery.

He was out of prison for barely a month when he approached another former girlfriend in a bar, his second violation of a no-contact order involving the same woman.

Chaupiz pleaded guilty to the charge about six weeks ago.

He also pleaded guilty a year ago to leading Wyckoff and Ridgewood police on a dangerous chase.

Superior Court Judge Frances A. McGrogan accepted the agreed-to sentence of 61 days of time served on Oct. 9.

But she told Chaupiz: “You’re 23 years old and already you have a significant criminal history.”

She warned him not to get into trouble again or he could face serious consequences.
