WYCKOFF, N.J. – The Wyckoff Family YMCA will install two new board members during its annual meeting this week.
Waldwick resident John Murphy will be joining the board for the first time, while Wyckoff resident Sal Moffa will be rejoining following a hiatus. Board members Larry Peterson and Dottie Van Der Horn will also be reinstalled.
During the meeting, the board will provide an update on the state of the Y, and review the successes of the Wyckoff Y Cares initiative.
According to Kris Pepper, the YMCA’s public relations director, the Wyckoff Y Cares initiative is a way to reach neighbors, lend a helping hand and support families in need.
In the 18 years since its inception, “this resource has assisted over 175 families with a myriad of hardships as they navigate their journeys, move forward and reestablish their lives,” she said.
The public is invited to attend the annual meeting. It will be held on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 8 a.m. in the Y’s Carl Pfeifer Performing Arts Center, 691 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff.
