Children Critical After Near-Drowning In South Jersey Town: Report
Two children were in critical condition after a near-drowning at a Gloucester County home, according to a news report by 6abc. Monroe Township police responded to a Woods Road home just after 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, where an 11- and 14-year-old were found and taken to a hospital. A Somers Point man will spend several years in prison after admitting to using his teen son to sell marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms through an unlicensed business promoted on Facebook, authorities said. John Garman, 39, was sentenced on Tuesday, May 28 to 10 years in prison, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. He pleaded guilty to several charges on Monday, Mar. 18. A road worker was struck along Interstate 295 in Mercer County, authorities said. Troopers responded to the crash at about 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 28 on I-295 north milepost 76.4 in Ewing Township. Driver Hospitalized After Smashing Into Roadway Service Vehicle In Mercer County
A 23-year-old driver was hospitalized after she crashed into an unoccupied roadway service vehicle along Route 29 in Mercer County, authorities said. Majanae Burke, of Bordentown, was driving northbound in a Honda Civic near milepost 0.7 in Hamilton at about 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 28 when she veered off the highway and struck a guardrail before rear-ending the Ford F350 pickup, New Jersey State Police said.
